I read, a lot. If i don't get through a book or two a week, its rather shocking. I'll read virtually any book I can get my hands on that seems slightly interesting. On deployments it helps keep me sane too cause my family can send a couple books in a care package, and that occupies my mind during free time.
I also like to tinker with my truck when I'm back home in Ohio.

I like long walks on the beach, snuggling, quiet candlelit dinn...Oh, wait, wrong forum.
Actually, Me and the lil' woman like to go to estate sales, do high intensity trail walks and cook. My own personal interests include my dogs, light home-improvement and flying in my brother's helicopter (as a passenger of course). And I've been doing a little investigation into HAM Radio and would like to give it a whirl.

Im a car cleaning nut, nothing more fun than polishing my ricer in the garage. My car cleaning product cupboard rivals some detailing shops. :) the results speak for themselves.
When Im not cleaning it im tipping money into making it go faster (255HP at the wheels currently)

I'm a computer guy as well. Often times for entertainment I will do some programming. I have done a little work on open source projects, in the future I would like to get more into it. I like solving problems
Ham radio...well, I went to a 'starter' type class for it, just attended the first class and read the book, but never took the test. At some point I would like to get more into it but I am completely broke at the moment so it's not like I can go get any equipment. I have a lot of things like that that are waiting on the back burner for a day when I can afford them.
I also enjoy reading, with an emphasis on American history, as well as Constitutional case law. I enjoy nothing more than cracking open the latest Court rulings and seeing what those wackos have decided on this time
Something I have missed lately has been the outdoors. I like hiking and such, but I never get a chance to do it.

When I was half my age I was an avid SCUBA diver. I've always been a reader but somehow don't read much for pleasure any longer; mostly because I like to finish a book from cover to cover in one sitting, even if I read for 18 hours straight. I no longer have the stamina to stay up all night reading.
I'm working on marital arts skills for the mild exercise, the excuse it gives to get out of the house and mingle with others on a regular schedule, and because I like the inherent beauty of some of the elegant moves.

Photographer (that's also a good part of my income), sportswriting (little money, some adulation, some distaste), baseball (son played his way into college, so you can imagine how many games I've been to in 15 years), fishing (lunkers only, measure-photo-release), dogs, and some lewd behavior every once in a while.
