Just wanted to share a pic or two from the ceremony.
Thank you all for the kind words.
I won't tell you I think this was the hardest day of my life(those of you who understand don't need telling, everyone else probably does). And I am not ashamed to say that I broke down during my remarks.
I could not believe the size of the gift my unit got me. I will hang this in a place of honor, when I finally get a house.

Thanks for your service Chris. You wore the uniform for almost the enitre time I've been alive, and that is a long time. Enjoy your retirement, you have certainly earned it.

Congratulations and thanks for the many years of dedicated service. I took off the uniform after 20 years, and when the wife asks what I miss most, it isn't the ports we pulled into, or the things we did, but the people that I worked with.
