    Best Friend :(

Well, A few years ago I had an operation on my pup, a beutiful little Cocker Spaniel, to remove tumors.

Recently the tumors started coming back. Yesterday I had to leave town to deliver a computer, came home and there is blood. No vets open. She chewed the biggest tumor.
Tomorrow morning I go to the Vet to put her down.
It's better than having her suffer.

    I certainly will miss her.

Darn....sorry! I've had a dog that I once had to have put down and I bawled like a baby over that one.

My freind Hans had to be put down just before I moved to FL. He was 16yrs, wich is a good run for a German Sheperd. Even still, loosing your Best Buddy is as bad as loosing a close famly member.

Sorry to hear about that. It's not easy losing a best friend, furry or otherwise. They're hard to come by.

My wife and I are dog people. We love our mutts. We had to put our Sheltie to sleep after over 14 years due to cancer in 2001. Our Golden Retriever mix got into something in 2003 and died at the vet's. We didn't try too hard to find out what it was. The vet said that he had only seen one dog react like that and it was a crack dealer's dog who got into the crack. We live in a small town, but that stuff is here too. We guess that someone may have needed to get rid of some and threw it into our yard. Now our dogs have a big 80'X100' fenced in yard on the back of the lot away from the streets. It's had because we become attached and dogs expect so little from us that we think of them as family.

We will be praying for you as you go through this time of loss. Some people might think it silly, but they are wrong. They are usually the ones who have never experienced the total devotion that a dog gives.

Even though it must be done, it's still a sad thing. God made the animals before He made us, so I firmly believe there are animals in heaven. I'm looking forward to a grand reunion with all the pets I've had one day. So can you. Until then, you and your animal friend are in my prayers.

That hurts. I've had to do it twice, and decided that was enough.

    Thanks!

    Thanks All.

She is gone now and she went easy. The vet gave her a shot to make her sleep before euthanising her. I was with her till the end, couldn't abandon my baby on a cold steel table by herself.

Thank you for your support and GOD bless you.

George - so sorry to hear of this. We have eight dogs right now and have lost quite a few over the years. It sure doesn't get easier.
At least she's at peace and you have all the memories of her.
