Does anyone use the Yellow Pages any more?

I am looking to buy some office furniture and needed to know where some local stores were. For the first time in years, I opened up the Yellow Pages to find some stores. I must say, advertising in the Yellow Pages has decreased dramatically.

I was just curious, does anyone use the Yellow Pages anymore to find a business? If not, what do you uses?

It's been years since I used the dead-tree version of the yellow pages to look up a business. I occasionally will use an online yellow pages site. Most of the time, however, I just use Google Maps.

    YELLOW PAGES? What are they?

Oh...you mean those free, thick books that they leave on your doorstep for people to test bullet penetration?

I "used" a stack of them a while back. When wet they make a poor man's ballistic gel.

I use one from time to time, what bothers me is that there are three or four different yellow pages in our area. I keep the phone Co. one and dispose of the rest.

I do, fairly often. We don't have a huge phone book so it's pretty quick.

I will look at the local one, it is not very thick so it doesn't take long. If not looking in my local town I look it up on line.

I use the yellow pages. The internet is often a jumbled clutter of irrelevant links. The yellow pages are local and direct you to exactly the product or service necessary.

I also advertise my business in the yellow pages. The ads are relatively inexpensive and the distribution is widespread.

More importantly, what will people use when Obama shuts the internet down?

Sure. Plus yp.yahoo.com and Google. Between the three, very little cannot be found.

This is the first year that we are not placing an ad in the yellow pages for car rentals business.

Sure, I use the Yellow Pages. I click on Yahoo on the toolbar, then select "Yellow Pages". Now, if you ask if I use the paper version, I would say maybe once every few years. The Internet is the best way now, and doesn't take up space.

I prefer the soft paper that comes in a roll.
