Good luck and hang in there friend. My last job prospect took 3 months and change between the first interview and the time I was actually hired and working.

    Uggh. 3 months?
I can't last that long. We'll be homeless.

Hopefully today (?) or perhaps Monday...

    Update

Well all, two weeks now, and no news. No contact after my first follow up.
I guess either the project stalled, or I'm out of the running.

I just wish employers would take the time to communicate either way.

    Thanks all for the thoughts.
Still looking, and hoping to pull an 11th hour save...

There's still hope... The current job I have (which I mentioned earlier) the interview process took around 3 months. At one point I didn't hear back from them for 2-3 weeks initially, but after repeatedly checking with them to keep in touch it all worked out in the end.

    Update

    Update:
    Project was canceled/de-funded.

I have one more nibble. I have to get this, or something soon.
I have now sold EVERYTHING I own, and am still in jeopardy of losing our home.

Just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive.
    Thanks friends.

    Arko,

    Sorry to hear this.
I continue to hope/pray something comes along soon.

    Thanks Mike. I appreciate that.
I think I've aged 10 years in the past few months.

Anyway, just wanted to let my friends here know I'm alive, and thinking of them.

Hey Arko, good luck. I'm sure something will pop here shortly.

I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, but can't you find a job at McD's or the grocery just to keep your belly full in the mean time?

Not for lack of trying my friend!
My area has been hit pretty hard, so I'm competing with more adults in the same position, not to mention the kids from all the colleges around here.
The few that take my application seriously have a stack of a hundred to choose from. I haven't been the right guy in the right place on the right pile yet.

sorry to hear it man, my heart bleeds for you. You'll bounce back and get back all the things you had to sell in time. Take joy in your friends and family.

I remember when I was a kid in the early 80's, my folks friends used to bring over toilet paper because we were so broke. Not to mention the powdered milk and govt. cheese.

But, things got better in time and they will for you too.

Since you've sold "everything" have you considered relocating? I'm assuming you're looking at jobs in other areas? Have family in another state you can shack up with while working at a walmart or something?
"Run for your life from the man who tells you that money is evil. That sentence is the leper's bell of an approaching looter. So long as men live together on earth and need means to deal with one another-their only substitute, if they abandon money, is the muzzle of a gun."
