More prayers for you Arko, I've been through hard times and probably will again, It's the nature of the beast. Sometimes for the faithful these times can be a test of our will and trust in our Loving Father. It's good to remember that as we go through struggles our Father has someone on his right side who has also faced the same struggles as we. Our Savior knows what it is to be hungry, homeless(he has no pillow on which to lay his head). Trust in him, stay faithful in hard times and your reward is Certain! Lee (Santa01)

    Update, 10-28

    Another update.
I've had many dead ends, as you all know.
However I had an interview Friday for a position I don't THINK I have a lot of competition for, and have a second interview with them Tuesday 10-29.
I have a good feeling this time, so hopefully a little more patience and prayer will do it. It's a job as a test Chef for an appliance maker. (my other career path) Really cool job. Half the pay of my last job, but double what I make now (nothing!)

Now for bad news: My utilities were disconnected today. I'm at the coffee shop as I write this.

My wife's next check won't cover it, and HAS to go towards the overdue rent or we WILL be evicted.

With DC fees, RC fees and the outstanding balance we need $300+

Would anyone be wiling to make a small loan? I'll even sign a contract and/or provide the utility bill if need be?

If so, my paypal is connected to my email at: jwpetronella@gmail.com

I understand if nobody can, but had to ask for help one last time.
Even my tiny church is tapped out, so I have no net.

I'l be here on and off during the day to check email, and will check in.

    Thanks guys!

I remember when I was a kid in the early 80's, my folks friends used to bring over toilet paper because we were so broke. Not to mention the powdered milk and govt. cheese.

But, things got better in time and they will for you too.

Since you've sold "everything" have you considered relocating? I'm assuming you're looking at jobs in other areas? Have family in another state you can shack up with while working at a walmart or something?
Hey, sorry for not replying sooner. First chance I've had with limited access to the net.

Yes, I have considered it. Applied/applying to many out of state jobs. I just haven't gotten lucky yet.
As for family: The only family I have is in upstate NY, and they are in no position to help, as THAT area has been in severe decline since well before the current economic collapse. No jobs there. Nor could they take us with our pets, who are non negotiable.
    Thanks for the thought though.

Further update to post from earlier today, above:
Hiring manager called, and will be scheduling my second interview hopefully tomorrow, so I don't have a definite time yet.

You mean Tuesday 9-29 right? Not a month away, 10-29 is October??

    Yes,
i meant 9-29. I was hurriedly trying to out-type the end of my internet session, and mistyped.
I heard from her gain though, now it may be several days before they bring me back in.

Gotta go again. I can't stay here long and not spend money.

    Arko,

$25 sent via paypal. I imagine other members will help out if they can. I know it isn't much, but it is what I can afford to send right now.

Take care, and I hope everything works out in this next interview.

    Thanks Mike.
I appreciate even .25 cents! I'm on the very edge of catastrophe.

If anyone wants to make a small loan, with contract, we'll make you our top pay back priority.
