Kudos to Silverwood Theme Park!!!!!!!
I don't know where to put this, but I figured it would get good visibility here.
Yesterday Sept 5 I went to Silverwood Theme Park with my oldest son. As I am CWP holder and I carry daily, I didn't want to leave my EDC in the car, as this could potentially put a lot of people at risk.
So, on my way to Coeur d'Alene, I called the theme park. I spoke with a manager on duty there and told him I carried daily and that I was wondering if they had a safe I could store my pistol in while I was at the park as I knew I couldn't carry there.
He agreed that I can't carry in the park, even though I didn't see any signs there, but that is besides the point. I just wanted to be diplomatic. The manager told me that it was no problem and all I had to do was buy my ticket and when I got in the park, to ask for the security manager and he would help me.
When I got there I did just that and I met with a guy named Ron. He happens to be retired Las Vegas PD or Sherrif. He led me to the security office and gave me a locker in there, added a good amount of paper towels to cushion my gun from the metal bottom of the locker and locked it with a pad lock and gave me a key to it while telling me that he would be the only one with the other key.
He is a really nice guy and I just wanted to share this with whomever may be interested, as I think that it is a high level of customer service and it let me have a great time while in the park while feeling secure in knowing that my gun was secured and not in my car in the parking lot across the highway from the park.
By the way. Those of you in the area, the three big roller coasters that they have are a blast!!! Especially Aftershock!!!!
Here are the other big coasters there:
