    At Last, A Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got hurt on 9/20/2001 and go back to work on Monday, 4/10/2006 a total of 1663 days without a job. I am thrilled to be back and I am thrilled to start at $20.00/hour. The only problem is the boss is an ass but that is the way it is when you are self employed. I will be working with my Son-in-law in Port Townsend, WA repairing wooden boats. I start a by tearing down a three cylinder diesel marine engine and rebuilding it then installing it back in a boat. Then we move on to structural repair of the boat itself. That one job might last me until school starts this fall at the Northwest School of Wooden Boat Building. I will be working on completing the Westlawn School of Yacht Design at the same time.

I am negotiating with my sheriff to get a non-resident CCL so I can continue to carry when I make trips to Oregon.

I will probably be away from my computer for several months until my wife can join me and we can get everything moved.

Congratulations Scott. Sounds interesting. You should check into the local libraries for internet access so you won't be missed.

Well goodness, there must be a lifetime's worth of boat work to do on the gulf after the hurricane..

Scott - that is one mega long time to be off - and must feel like returning to the world proper having the job lined up.

Hope it goes well and that rate sounds well useful Try to drop in in a while - let us know how things go eh.

Good news, Scott. I've had the "pleasure" of an extended vacation a time or two and it's certainly a bummer. Lots of luck. Boat work sounds like a great way to go. Keep in touch when you can.
