Found this pic on the work computer. It's a FL state prison back gate, the place where certain EMS departments go to get into the prison for medical calls. Sometimes there's a delay in the staff opening the gate and said ememrgency workers have to sit outside with nothing to do but wait. You know what they say about "idle hands".

I worked a different 911 assignment last week, they have a prison in their district. My partner told me they don't go into the prison anymore since they got caught up in a lockdown once. Now they make them bring the patient out of the gate to the Medic.
That works out, so now I don't have to leave my knives, phone, Gerber tool, scissors, etc., etc. either in the Medic or with a Correctional Officer. I think I'm gonna try that next time the prison in my district calls 911!
