Thanks, JD! And I'll follow the advice in your sig line with respect to this.
now how come I don't have 2 belts of m430 grenades to show off? Lucky girl.
Oh, how far we have come from the days of the old M-79 "blooper" guns.
Nothing like chucking 40 Mike Mike's out at a rate of 350 rounds per minute. Now that's some righteous firepower!
Actually, the M79 is still seeing some (very limited) use. Also, the 40mm rounds for the Mk19 are NOT interchangeable with the 40mm rounds for the M203/M79...and the Mk 19 has been around in some version since the Vietnam era.
I got to shoot a Mk19 awhile back at a family fun day, wish that round came in a pistol!

you only get one shot but who needs more than that.
We had flechette rounds for our 106 recoilless rifle in 1970, but never needed to use them. There must have been hundreds of those little needles in that round. I really wanted to see what a test fire of the flechette would look like on the river. The LT, "No and I don't want to hear about this again." So he didn't, until today.
