I'm thinking to level the playing field you would need an AR with blanks and a golf ball attachment.

As to the comment about an AR with the blanks, try hitting a ball coming off the face of a 6-7 iron, that ball is out of viable shot range in about 1.5 seconds. When you catch on just right though which is very rare, It just puffs that's a sweet sight.
We ran the trap range out of birds one night and started going through everything else we could launch in one form or another.

I never could figure the sense in walking around a field beating a ball with a stick.
If I were to machine out a miniature Coehorn mortar and use it to loft the ball onto the green, well, I can see that.
Sink the ball with a pool cue, yes, I can see that too.
