Safe trip home, OPFOR. And a hearty thanks to you for your time in the sandbox!

Thanks for all the thanks, guys (and gals), honestly.

Just to clarify, though, I was over there as a Federal LEO, not as a soldier. I did carry a weapon and conduct "combat" operations every day, but not in uniform this time. All told now I have 32 months in combat between Iraq and Afghanistan, 13 of it in the Green Machine and the rest as an Agent...I think Uncle Sugar has gotten its last klick out of OPFOR for a while, but never say never.

Again, thanks for all your support. I am sitting comfortably in a recliner eating real pizza and looking forward to a nice night out on the town and a couple of frosty beverages soon - you can be sure I'll raise one to all my DC brothers and sisters.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

    OPFOR,
When you put your vest in the closet, be sure you take a moment or two to dust off your bowties! :c)

Glad to see you are back safe and sound. Glad I did not pass any bad luck your way (referring to the PM I sent).

Welcome back OPFOR! I was there in 1991 and I disliked it as much as I am sure you do!

Thanks for serving and welcome back!
