Any old Carol Burnett show fans?
This is a discussion on Any old Carol Burnett show fans? within the Off Topic & Humor Discussion forums, part of the The Back Porch category; I've been watching a promo for a Carol Burnett Show CD collection on the tube. It brings back a ton of memories of a time ...

We used to watch the show when I was a teen. Very funny and we had at least an hour of peace before mom and dad had their saturday night argument.

Loved the show. Love any re-runs I get to see.
Snarkee may be the best...what Tim Conway could do to the others was priceless.

Don't ask me how I know about it, but I thought that was a great show (I'm 26). Tim Conway has got to be my favorite sketch comedian ever. Mamas house was a good spin off too bad it was only on what 2 seasons?
Kinda off topic but did anyone see his Dorf videos, dorf on golf, dorf goes fishing???
and for the OP

Yep, good times on television back then. Tim Conway is great! Loved him in McHale's Navy too! Yes, I've seen a couple of the Dorf videos. Great stuff.
I also loved Rowan and Martin's Laugh In as well. Goldie Hawn was 18 when the show started.
But Carol Burnett... Definitely Iconic!

Mrs Whiggins and Mr Tudball and the Tim Conway old guy skits were my favorites. What's passing for comedy now pales by comparison.

For all you Tim Conway fans out there, get a copy of PRIVATE EYES. He and Don Knotts play detectives from Scotland Yard sent to solve a mystery. You can watch it ten times in a row and find something new to laugh at each time.
