    LCROSS Moon Impact

    im still watching after the fact listening to interviews of scientists but i just wanted to see what you guys thought of what happened a few minutes ago with the impact, and do you think itll be a cost effective source of water if in fact its discovered on the lunar surface

    Hmmm... Cost effective? NO.

    Would I rather see billions of dollars wasted on lunar boondoggles instead of being handed out to ACORN and unemployed gang-bangers/thugs/thieves and other threats to our society? YES.

    Our local paper said there would be a moon watching event at the Visitors Center of the local Metro Parks (no carry zone, groan)
    In the event of cloud cover, the news paper said, there would be live feed from the Hawaii observatory.
    I got there and some fellow with a laptop in a backpack was making excuses as to why he could connect his laptop but very likely nothing would be visible. Maybe 20 other folks there to see the show.
    I turned around and left.
