    Full immersion baptism...

    Last night, Somewhere between Abilene and Texarcana I "baptized" my new pda cellphone for thirty minutes in a hot cup of coffee. Sigh.

    Yup. Found out that there is a hidden "dot" near the battery that turns red when immersed in liquid. Glad I told the truth. That would have been embarrassing.

    I dropped mine in the dog's water bowl.

    I tried to dry it out with a blow dryer.

    Cellphone lady said to remove the battery then put both into a bowl of dry rice. Leave overnight then blow dry. Next time...

    I dropped my razr in the toilet at home once...before I peed...I had it stuck in the waistband of my gym shorts. I dried it out and it never worked again. Thanks for the heads up on the liquid activated dot...now I'll know to tell the truth if that happens. If I kill my palm pre I will cry.

    A drop of bleach with a Q-Tip will take the red right out of that dot.... Just saying!

    Cell phone insurance will make it useless too. Made it many years without it. One took a swim and I now carry the monthly insurance.

    Soaked one while kayaking once, thought it was 'dead', but it came back to life in about a week...already had a new one, oh well.
