Now this would be a stimulus package...

Doesn't get much easier than this.

    SIMPLICITY AT IT'S BEST!!

This is from an article in the St. Petersburg Times newspaper on Sunday.

The Business Section asked readers for ideas on :
"How Would You Fix the Economy?"

I think this guy nailed it!

    Dear Mr. President,

Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of
giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on
lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.

You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1
million apiece severance for early retirement with the following
    stipulations:

    1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

    2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered. Auto
    Industry fixed.

    3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage. Housing Crisis
    fixed
    .

It can't get any easier than that!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress and their
    constituents pay their taxes...

Mr. President, while you're at it, make congress retire on Social Security
and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!

If you think this would work, please forward to everyone you know. If not,
please disregard, sit back, and watch us fall apart further......

    stipulations:
$1 million each x 40 million people adds up to $40 TRILLION.

Sounds like a plan the government could embrace.

I'll be forced to retire by 42; 44 if I get promoted.

Yep, its a shame the general population has lost the ability to perform simple math or perform simple common sense checks.
There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil.

No, no, this could work. Sort of like the cash for clunkers program. See, you PROMISE everyone $1 million, but you don't pay them for years and years and years. Then, they either have to live off their retirement or load up their credit card cash advances until the money comes. Ultimately, some will die before the money is paid out and Congress can give that money to illegals to become legal .....
