Would that be for Mr. TOM Horn?
Indeed it is named after Tom.

I'm a Horn buff of long-standing, Paco Kelly was gracious enough to host a couple of my small articles on Tom at his Leverguns.com board.

    Ex: Great story - enjoyed!

I haven't owned any long enough for them to developed the requisite personality - whether or not they ever do - I'll just have to wait and see. They're all pretty generic guns.

I refer to my old-style (w/o the safety) Winchester .30-30 as "Ol' Betsy." I guess I saw Davy Crockett too many times as a kid (and the rifle is older than I am).

I call my .357 magnum, "Dirty Girl"

Because its not quite Dirty Harry's .44 magnum, but still delivers a pretty poweful punch, and the girl part, i duno, i just like it i suppose!

Sorry, no names. Although...I did have one once that I often called "******". It was a Makarov .380 that caused a case of slidebite more that once.

Haven't gotten attached to one enough to give it a name yet. Although with as much as we carry these things you would think we we would.

I do name my cars however, but only the ones with character.

    The most recent one being:

Herkimer AKA The Hillbilly Suv. (current project a jacked up station wagon with big off road tires, yes I know I am wierd.)

LOL. I guess if I follow that line of thought, due to hammer-bite, I should call my 1911 "ouch"

    I like matched names.
My Kimber is Lady and my Mak is Tramp.

As mentioned in another thread, I plan on more, my WC will be Beauty and I'm considering a .50 1911 which of course will be Beast.

Now I know I'm gonna hear all the pshyco analysis

I had forgotten about Sledgehammer. That was one crazy guy, I loved that show. My favorite episode is when someone stole his .44 and he had to use the only other gun the department had left to issue... a .25. At the range, the bullets fell to the floor before getting to the target. Yep, I was sad when they cancelled the show.
