It's a play on my initials. D for the first name; M for the middle and last name, hence the 2. It's the best I could come up with. I'm not very creative that's why I don't have an avatar. However, if TN_Mike is willing to give up his avatar, I'll take it. It's my favorite.

A buddy of mine started calling me Paco a decade ago and neither of us knows why.

It is funny to go in to a restaurant, being a white guy, and leaving the name Paco. When I am called and I show up I get pretty funny looks .

Isn't it obvious? It's because I'm so sharp!

No, I've just used the screenname Katana or some variation of it for the last 4 or so years online. My xbox live screenname is GenKatana, for instance.

My avatar is the facemask of Matt Wagner's Grendel. In my teens, I was a huge comic book dork, and for some reason that story has stayed with me to this day. He was definitely not the good guy, and I'd never read a story like that before or since. Before that, my avatar was Cartman from South Park as Dog the bounty hunter. My favorite episode of that show ever.

I wish I could say mine is a result of being an ex-Marine but that wouldn't be true. Marines and ex-Marines are sometimes referred to as "devil dogs" or "hellhounds."

However, one of the old-time Mississippi Delta bluesmen was a fellow by the name of Robert Johnson. Johnson's music had a huge influence on people such as the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton.

One of Johnson's songs was entitled "Hellhound on my Trail." As I'm a big blues fan, I stole the moniker "Hellhound."
