    Movie Pet Peeves

Since there is a gun-related "pet peeves" thread, I thought I would start one for NON gun-related ones!

My first one - when someone sets off a fire sprinkler and the ALL go off. Fire sprinklers don't work that way.

    What are yours?

Automobiles and diesel trucks are incredibly prone to violent explosions, especially when shot in the rear window with a 9mm....

    Ooops... gun related...

Mine would be. When some dude gets shot, it shows um being knocked through the wall or what ever. Like the energy of the bullet can do that to a human.

The standard, trite "I know this is hard for you, but..." speech. Especially right after someone's been badly beaten, raped, watched their loved ones being dismembered. It's like "yeah, sorry you're in shock but man up now, ok?"

I dunno, it just seems like we could all use a little more empathy.

    GunNutty sez...

I had a similar observation on TV the other night... again, gun related (sorry, Random)...

On Sons of Anarchy last Tuesday, a character pulled a Glock to threaten someone, pointed it at the guy's head, and there was a sound effect of a hammer being cocked...

What? You mean we can't carry a 200mm S&W Glock Revolver...?

Screeching tires on gravel or snow, when there is a chase scene and the sports car doesn't out perform the family sedan / econobox / pick up truck.

My wife won't let me critique films while we watch them anymore.
