starts on the 15th in Michigan. Will be out with Encore 50 cal. and Ruger single six for closeby bushytails.

Our season starts on the 7th. I will go out on Thursday the 5th, bait all the hog traps, and build a deck for the cabin. If I go out on opening morning, I'll use either a 30-30 or Ruger 308. I really don't get into it until around Thanksgiving - that gives all the local boys a chance to get their tiny deer and leave the big one of me.

My new girlfriend invited me out to her family's ranch for a deer hunt opening day. I'm excited! Also gonna be hog and coyote, turkey, and dove out there, so might fill a few tags.

I live in the country and am not looking forward to all the hunting clubs running around. Don't get me wrong I hunt, it's that this is tourist season for me.

Hunting season opened here Oct 25 through Nov 29th. I have already gotten a doe. Shot here through both eyes with a 250g 35 Whelen round at about 15 yards...
Still looking for Elk and more does! Personally I need to get the deer on my side. It takes a lot of flattops to equal one elk. A good friend just got a 6X7 bull elk outside of Yellowstone! BIG BOY!

I have never been hunting, but my girlfriend wants to take me. I go in 8 days for my hunter/trapper safety test (study online) then hopefully down to her place to get my lic. and some venison

Opening day for us was Oct 11. Tree-stand-humping, 20-foot-climb, six-hours-waiting, no-deer-sightings, and rain. Good times...

I've never been hunting. I'd really like to go but I have no family that hunts, and not really any hunting friends to go with. So I dont know how to get started

Season starts on the 14th here. I'll be going with about 8 guys and my .50 cal Encore. My one and only vacation every year 12 days of relaxation.
