    Example of Liberal News Coverage

A biker is riding by the zoo in Washington , DC when he sees a little
girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff
of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes
    of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on
the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the
biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A
reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the biker says, 'Sir, this was the most
gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Biker replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind
bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a
journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front
page... So, what is your background and what political affiliation do
    you have?'

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. MP Combat Veteran and a Republican.' The journalist leaves.
    >
    > The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings
    > news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:
    >
    > U.S. MP COMBAT VET ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH
    > That pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days.
    For God, Family and Country!

    Ain't that the sad truth.

Just kill a home invader with a firearm, and the libtard dominated media will crucify you for any number of fabricated reasons, such as the following, for example:

The intruder was of a different race or ethnicity, so you're a racist.

The intruder was under eighteen, so you murdered a child.

The intruder was an illegal, so you're a xenophobe.

The intruder was clearly an impoverished vagrant, so you're a mean spirited right-wing bigot.

The intruder was not armed with a firearm, so you ruthlessly stole the life of a poor, nonwhite, disadvantaged immigrant child in the most heinous fashion... You used an evil gun thing.

You are a gun owner, so you're an insane menace to everyone around you.

You didn't flee to the darkest corner of your home and beg for mercy, so you enjoy committing vicious acts of violence against others.

You'll have to excuse me... I'm going to go outside and scream now.
And Jesus said, "If you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one." (Luke 22:36)

I am a peaceful man. But I am not a pacifist.

A few months ago in a local paper; News story headline read "Man drowns after being tased by police."

Ok, for those who only read the headline and not the entire story ya know what this leaves you thinking.

Reading the whole story - man was tased, after tasing he somehow managed to get away - ran into the woods - went out to middle of a lake - wouldn't come ashore as called by police - got tired and drowned.

That's why I hate the news, the moment it started being about sales, and not about reporting the news it became a somewhat true version of a supermarket tabloid.

Hey, YOU try selling newspapers that print the truth and see how far you get!

By the way, I'm totally stealing that joke, AC.

Man, that had to be in that rag the Mobile Register! What a piece of crap newspaper that thing is.

But, as bad as it is, it is WAAAAAAYYY better than the Commercial Appeal (locally know as the Communist Appeal here) here in Memphis.

As Lweis Grizzard used to say to people who complained about the newspaper he worked for being inaccurate, "Hay, it only costs 25 cents! What do you want for a quarter? The Truth?!?"

Anyone who thinks that any news source has ever been without an agenda is living in a dream world. Commercial sources are about what sells. Organizational sources are about what pushes the views of the primary supporters.

There is still good reporting out there, but it takes critical thinking and research to determine the real facts (if that's even possible). You can't rely on any single source or medium and expect to discern objective truth.

Reminds me of the story about George Bush walking on water.
Headlines the next day read "Bush can't swim!"
The views expressed above are the opinion of the poster and may or may not be total bunk.

I am always disgusted with the media. Reporting the facts is a lost art. Its terrifying how so many assume that what they read in the newspaper or see on TV is the truth.
