    Don't. This cello was an old 1/2 size Kay that served it's use for 40+ years in the rental fleet of a music store. It was broken beyond repair and was going to spend the remainder of it's days in a garbage dump somewhere. Instead, it had a glorious funeral pyre after a fun day of plinking.

    Do you know how long I've wanted a cello for? There are kids in Africa who have never even see a cello and you're shooting and burning them like they grow on trees.

    A single tear is shed as a cello slowly plays taps in the background...

    Day is done, gone the sun
    From the lakes, from the hills, from the run
    All is well, safely rest;
    God is nigh.

    If I had to lug that rental cello to school everyday when I was young...

    I'd a done the same thing 39 years ago

    That's sad, to see musical instruments die. But, I guess they don't live forever. Unless it's a piano ;)

    I like it... gives me a Hendrix at Monterey feel... trying to imagine Wild Thing or Are You Experienced? played by YoYo Ma...

    One of my dogs is named Fred; the other is Gus.

    I don't know that either of them were interested in a cello.
