Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 ***SPOILER***

I doubt anyone has noticed but, it has been a few days since I was on here much. That would be because I bought Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 and have been playing it every minute that I wasn't either at work or in the gym.

it is a very good game, maybe not quite as good as the first in my opinion, at least as far as graphics go, but the story is more intricate and there are more surprises in this one.

But, here is what surprised me the most, and this is the spoiler so don't read any further if you don't have the game yet and you intend to get it, in this game, we are fighting the Russians in what I would classify as WWIII. In fact, they invade America after come how capturing one of our early warning satellites and breaking the code to the encryption system. They then are able to disable our sats and invade before we know it.

Several missions involve you fighting as an Army Ranger in the suburbs of Washington DC and in the city itself. The imagery can be a little disturbing. It is quite realistic. Including a firefight near and in the WWII memorial and several Government buildings. It is somewhat disturbing to see Washington DC in flames and some of the landmarks destroyed.

It is a very good game and hard. So far, I have only been able to beat it on the easiest level.

The first MW was of course better because you got to be Marines in it, duh!

A bunch of guys in the barracks have been playing it, it looks pretty good, but the system I have access to has been packed up and put in storage, so I'm still trying to find a 360 with no one playing on it (rather hard to do).

I've been playing online multiplayer and love it. I haven't been all the way through the regular game yet.

I think the multiplayer maps are way better than the previous modern warfare.

And what did you think of the Airport mission?? Or did you have it skip that one?

    Duh!

My group is boycotting it because it has no dedicated server support.

The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

yeah i'm pretty mad about the screwing over of PC users for MW2 but yeah the game is hard as hell! i die every 5 minutes and i have it on normal. go around the corner and 10 guys are there 2 on the roof 2 hidign behind the railings on a balcony and 2 on ground level those 6 in front of you the other 4 on your flanks...its insane! Not to mention fighting on american soil is quite odd specially when you walk past the cars and can actually name some of them off. its just freaky but even w/ the extreme difficulty i still have fun

I finished the game yesterday on regular. I like it, but the online part is hard for me, I'm lost all the time. As soon as I figure out where I am some butthole shoots me in the back.
If I gave a crap about what you think about my guns.....it was early this morning and I already flushed it!

I love this game. The multiplayer is way better then the first and the regular game is amazing. I don’t think I am going to get bored with this game for a while.

I'm not a gamer, but I enjoy watching people play. My wife is the gamer in the family. The guys at work have been playing MW2 and I watched a few hours of it at work yesterday. Looks pretty cool. They were doing online play.

I played through that mission but I have to tell you, that one bothered me. I first tried to shoot the guys I was with, just because I did not want to shoot civilians. But as soon as you blow one of the bad guys away, the others turn on you and shoot you down. I am still going to try to figure out a way to kill all of them though. I doubt the game will let you do it.

Beat the game earlier today on single player. I like the story from the first one for single player but the graphics and multiplayer on this one blow the first out of the water! If anyone is on PS3 and not 360 add me and we will rule the roost on multiplayer! bbomber83 is my id.

That young kids shouldn't play the game.

I was stunned by the lack of "warning" that that was coming. I felt compelled to "participate" by the commanding officer at the loading of the scene telling me that I'd have to do difficult things in getting close to the BG. When suddenly confronted with the scene of innocent passengers, which was especially disturbing to me as a professional pilot, I was at a loss. "WHAT do I do?"

So I shot my weapon. Over the heads of the innocents, shooting many a pane of glass. Police responded and still I shot over their heads.

Then SWAT showed up with the bulletproof shields.

The BG's tried to go past by shooting, no result. I waited until the bad guys dealt with it, but they couldn't/wouldn't. The game apparently would not continue until "I" did something bad. So I did. I fired/threw grenades to deal with the Shields.

A unique and gut-wrenching twist to a morally impossible situation.
