    I'm here in Vancouver, WA

Hey, folks. Leah and I survived the flight from Birmingham to Denver and the hail storm in Denver. We were in the plane when the hail storm started. Lasted about 30 minutes. Then had to wait for the plane to be inspected before we could leave. I kept thinking that since the inspector was not going to be flying with us he did not have any real motivation to make a real good inspection. He was right evidently. Monterey, CA was a pleasant visit for the most part. Checking out the coast line and 17 mile drive were very interesting to Leah. It is a beautiful place. The Monterey aquarium is fantastic. I was really saddened by the tremendous decay at old Fort Ord. Except for the building used by Presidio personnel and the buildings of the university everything else has been allowed to just sit. So most have significant damage and are near collapse.

Today we drove to San Francisco and crossed the Golden Gate. We then flew here to Vancouver where we were welcomed royally by our friends. Tomorrow off to see the sites of Washington. Maybe we'll visit some gun shops tomorrow, if not then Thursday. Looking for Sig P239 in 9mm. I'm convinced, Chris.

I'll give a better report and include some photos after we return.

Chris, I am now (or will be when it gets to Alabama) the proud owner of a Sig P239. I'll provide more info when I pick it up and try it out. There will be pictures.

    We ship out tomorrow morning.
