And yet another incident at WalMart

OK, first off I know some people here hate WalMart. Personally I don't. It seems like I stop there at least 4 times a week. I know which tellers are slow, and avoid their lines. I hate the self serve checkouts but use them to save time.

So last night I am going into the WalMart. This actually was my second trip that day. Had a plumbing incident and wanted to see if they had the parts I needed to fix it.

As I get out of my truck and walk towards the store I hear music blaring from a few asiles over. I look over there and see about 6 or so youths standing in the asile dancing to the song "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". you could tell by their actions they were just having a little fun.

The have the back of an SUV open with a sound system cranked and are having a blast. As I am walking in to the store I see a Dad with a couple of pre teens with him. He looks over and sees all this and we both just smile at each other and keep walking.

The kids were gone when I came out

I too must suffer through Cindi Lauper on occasion. I'm outmanned 3 to 1 in my house, and my wife has corrupted my daughters' taste in music.

Sounds like some kids happy to have the day off from school.

Well actually, I wasn't watching the time and it was time to leave work when I was typing it up. There really wasn't much more to the story, just thought it was amusing, we spend so much time discussing walmart, whether it's our first Walmart Walk while armed, or looking for ammo at Walmart. This wasa case where the kids hanging out in the parking lot where not a threat to anyone, unless you hate Cindi Lauper, I guess.

I posted it here in the humor section because it did bring a smile to my face to see the kids cutting up having fun like that.

I went to Wal Mart today at my Mom and Dad's. They have a huge sign up that says, "due to shortages, no one may purchase more than 100 rounds of pistol ammo." They were so busy, a guy from auto checked me out. I bought 400 rounds, as he was scanning it, he said, "did you know about the 100 round rule" I said, "nope" He said, "me neither" Good Times.

I see your point now. It does seem that carrying concealed makes you totally aware of your surroundings now and we are so quick to assess situations that might other wise be harmless. I know that I am always looking now,not for an encounter but just being code yellow as I was taught in USCCA. I often feel too that it kinda makes you judge people and situations all the time now. I am no judge and hopefully I will never have to see the day that I will be one
