    My buddy got played

Friend of mine bought a Sigma 9mm awhile ago. The other day I asked him if he shot it lately. He said, "No I just traded it last week. I got a .45."

I asked what kind. (He's bad with guns. He's Safe but can't rememeber names or specs.) He said he didn't know.

I asked him how much it was. He said he traded in his Sigma and paid $200.

So I figured about $500. He said he bought it at a Pawn Shop so I figured used.

    I asked if it was:
    a 1911... No

    a Glock... No

    a Smith and Wesson.... No

    a Taurus.... No

Finally I gave up and gave him my laptop and told him to look for a picture.

And this is what he showed me.....

Yep.... My friend traded a Sigma and paid $200 on top of that for a freakin' Hi-Point

I don't know how that salesman sleeps at night.

I brought up the Hi-Points on gunbroker. Boy was he pissed.

Ouch, experience is the best teacher but the most unforgiving.

I know a guy who told me a .45 Hi-Point blew up in his hand. He said the barrel cracked and a round went right out the bottom right at his feet. Lucky for him all the debris missed him.

I've heard nothing but nightmares with Hi-Point guns. I hope your friend has better luck.

    Man, that is just WRONG.

Someone, somewhere, just has no conscience whatsoever.

Maybe the dude at the pawn shop used to be a used car salesman..... :)

He spent hours trying to figure out how to take it down. Then I told him he needed a Hammer and a Punch and he said... What?!

Needless to say he realizes his mistake. He's chalking it up as a complete loss and is going with me to the next gun show to shop around.

That really sucks! On the other side though, if you do not know what you are looking at when its in your hand, you probably shouldnt buy it.

Sometimes experience costs time sometimes it costs money.

Well, at least he learned his lesson "relatively" inexpensively.
