Thumbs up I got a doe!

It was the second day of the season I made a 200 yard shot with a 130 grain .270 Win. If it wasn't for the wind I prolly would have been dead center. Still dropped it regardless.

Congrats. So far, all I've gotten is cold and wet. Fortunately, my neighbor is keeping us fed...

Congrats on the kill. My family loves venison, and last year I processed 7 deer. That one looks a wee bit small though, I don't think you shot bambi's mother, more likely this season's "bambi." Maybe the deer are smaller out there, but generally I shoot 2 1/2 yr old deer or older, just lots more meat for the effort. But hey, congrats for the kill and good to see another hunter out there!!

Theres not many running around here lately. My brother in law shot at the herd of them, he got one and the one I shot came running out of the pine by herself from where he was. I figured I only have 3 days up here... might as well take my shot while I have the chance.

I'll get a good 30 lbs of meat out of her, thats good enough for me :)
