    I hope I am wrong...

While listening to the news today at work, I heard that Iran took 5 more people into their custody. Apparently, a British yachting team sailed in to Iranian waters. Iran's "leader" said if this was intentional on their part, they would pay a grave price. The thought has crossed my mind on several occasions, if these so-called threats to their nation are going to be used as bargaining chips or human shields for future actions against the Western world.

There is a very good chance you are right.

I wonder how smart you have to be to sail anywhere near Iran? Especially now. Or hike on their border, for that matter...

While I'm on the subject, how do you accidentally cross the DMZ into North Korea? It can't be like taking a wrong turn on the autobahn...

I vacationed in Italy a few years ago... that was close enough to their border for me...

Pretty sure it's the same bunch who thought that holding hands and singing "Love is the answer" would get them released.

You can't fix stupid. As the saying goes: "Before you try to beat the odds, be sure you can survive the odds beating you."
    Mark Twain:
The government is merely a servant -- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a
patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.

I believe that Iran already let them go or...they are to be released.
    One or the other.

Reported this morning that they are not being held, and their yacht is currently being towed to Dubai. They're going with it.

Not that it changes my opinion of Iran or Amagonnabeginajihad.
