Man, this has been a tough year for me
- 4 months of unemployment with no safety net
- Possible cancer diagnosis
- Lasik surgery needs an enhancement...again
- Now I learned that I have a double hernia
On the bright side
- Bought an AR15
- Bought a Benelli M4
- Took a couple of classes
- I didn't have to shoot anyone yet.
I wonder what 2010 has in store?
Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse or Rapture....whichever comes first.
EactlyMyPoint, I can relate. Had a tough year myself. Praying for a better 2010. I'll include you in my prayers.
Well, let me count the ways....
1.) 10% cut in pay beginning early this year
2.) Did not receive my customary 4% increase in March.
3.) Suspension of 401K match
4.) Six UNPAID "furloughs," each a week in length
5.) No end-of-year bonus
But, considering the plight of others, who have it a lot worse than me, I have plenty to be thankful for. Let's all hope for a better 2010!
I too am hoping for a better year in 2010.
I'll spare you most of the details....but I work in Real Estate...2nd & Lux Homes. Any of you buy a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th home this year? Thought so.
Many of you have me beat on the negative list. But many others have you beat as well. I hope this next year brings a light at the end of the tunnel for all.
Irish New Year's Wish.
In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship, never in want.
I hope all that have had bad years have a better 2010!
I guess I can't complain about my situation this year. Other than a few injuries I have changed jobs for more money and more responsibility, had a new Son, paid off most of our debt (1 card left to go), bought an AK and met many new people while getting more involved in our new church.
I hope all who have had it rough this year will find 2010 better, especially after the mid term elections.
