Winter is knocking on my door.

Last of the geese are passing over headed for warmer climates.
The lawn tractor is in the rear of the garage and the snow blower is in the front.
Leaf net is off the pool and the cover is on, waiting for a solid freeze.
Christmas lights and wreath are set out.
Snow reflectors are set out along the street and up the driveway.
    Generator all tuned and tested.
Sprinkler system has been blown dry.
    Hoses are rolled and in.
Air conditioner and BBQ grill are covered.

Ahhh. Now the winter can come.

A few short months from now and the whole cycle will start up again only in reverse.

I love the changing of the seasons. I'm always glad to see winter come and glad again when it gives way to spring.

They say it's "possible" we might see snow this coming Friday, if conditions are JUST right....

Slogging through the snow! Sounds like you got the storm that missed us....seems it went north. My home ski resort is scheduled to open on Saturday and we are a bit slim on snow.

    I'm ready though:
    -snow tires on the 4runner
    -sprinklers blown out
    -patio furniture away
    -hoses away
-season pass waiting for pick up at Deer Valley

The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

Winter is knocking on my door.
    Tell it you're not home.
    Mark Twain:
The government is merely a servant -- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a
patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.
