    Horror movie marathon

Ok so today i watched. The devil's rejects, and Hostel. They were both very disturbing yet satisfying. (dont ask) Anyway I notcied one really important thing about both movies.

"The Devil's Rejects" If the "vics" in this movie were packing heat.... Legally or illegally, BOOM.. movie over, roll credits!

"Hostel" If that movie took place in a country that allowed concealed handguns... BOOM movie over roll credits. Runtime 5 minutes...

heheheh sucks to be caught in europe... in the hostel movie i mean

Bud nailed it...there is a lot of difference between gore and horror. Aliens is still scary every time I see it, but the movie that has terrorized me the most was Jaws...

I still can't swim in the ocean without thinking about this movie, and it's over 30 years old. That's horror!

I shouldn't tell this for fear of being laughed at but "Predator" scared the crap out of me when I was 12. Here are these SEAL type commandos with HK's, AR/M203's, M-60's, and a chaingun for Pete's sake and that alien tore them limb from limb.......everybody that is except AHNALD.

I couldn't go into the woods for a year.

Not only if you find yourself in a horror movie...

I have not seen too many horror flicks, but I guess most plots with a human killer would be over quickly if the protagonist had a CCW.

If you look at it that way, we need a State like California that doesn't recognize the natural right of a citizen to keep and bear arms. Otherwise, there would be no horror movies.

Just kidding, of course. Guns won't help much against supernatural horrors a la The Grudge or The Ring. And there are always "civilized" countries like Europe.

Hey, how about making a list of horror movies that wouldn't have happened if CCW was as common as it should be?

Those movies are not horror. Any movie that could be resolved with the proper application of a lead injection is not a horror. A thriller maybe... suspense... but not a horror to me.
