Photos from our vacation in CA & OR/WA

Of course the photos are of the most photographed places, but they are our photos of those places. While in Monterey, CA we drove along 17 Mile Drive, Pebble Beach. The most recognized tree in the world lives here. It is the Lone Cypress.

In the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area the Columbia River Gorge is a beautiful place to visit. Multnomah Falls is the second highest year-round water fall in the US. It falls 620 feet from its origin into the pool. So of course we had to take photos of this breath taking sight.

The first two are of the falls. The others are of my lovely wife and her distinguished husband in front of the falls.

We enjoyed our time with our friends and the opportunity of meet some new friends. The Portland/Vancouver area is beautiful. We did not get to take any pictures of Mt. Hood, so our friends are going to make some this week if possible and email them to us.

Nice pics George. The first one of the lone Cypress looks like a picture right out of Japan. BTW that beauty next to you must be your daughter.

Nice pics. Looks like you picked a beautiful day to be at the falls. When I was there it was kinda rainy.

George - wow!!! Beaut' pics and thanks a lot for letting us see them. However much that waterfall gets photographed, I can see why - it is stunning and most beautiful.

Glad your trip was a success - and I'll bet that now you are back home, it even now already seems like a dream! Mind you, with the SIG coming soon maybe that'll continue to make it remain more real!

HEY!!!!!!! You passed RIGHT BY ME and you didn't even stop or call (that is if you drove, if you flew into Portland and didn't take I-5 from K-Falls to Portland. If you did then ).

If you drove the length of I-5 from Southern Oregon to Northern, I was right off the Hwy in Eugene, OR.

Beautiful State this but you don't want to live here in the Winter (cold/rain) or in the Summer (dry/burns down), the politics suck when it comes to taxation and loss of some liberties (like free speech unless you are a liberal), and the pols are destroying this states economy and think that they need to be re-elected in order to complete the job of high taxation/destroy economy.

    Other than that, nice state
