VIERA — A Brevard circuit judge Thursday found a Cocoa man guilty of violating his probation by trying to break into the Brevard County Detention Center.
Circuit Judge George Maxwell will sentence Sylvester Jiles on Jan. 25, a state attorney’s office spokeswoman said. He faces up to 15 years in prison for trespassing on jail property and resisting an officer.
Jiles, 25, was
released from jail Aug. 28 after accepting a plea deal under which he was sentenced to eight years of probation in exchange for a guilty plea in connection with the February 2007 shooting death of 19-year-old Dustin Prouse.
Three days later, he returned the jail, begging deputies to take him back in because
he feared for his life. Jail officials said they told him to file a police report.
Instead, Jiles suffered deep cuts when he climbed a 12-foot wire fence at the west corner of the jail grounds, but he fell while attempting to scale to second fence topped with razor-sharp concertina wire, authorities said.

That's got to be a first. And, doesn't he realize, the Police have no duty to protect him?
Well, no DUH! Kill someone and get let go. Relatives of the dead guy will be looking for you.

Looks like he got a taste of court justice that was way light, then at street justice which was probably going to be the death sentence and requsted protection.
