I really enjoyed it, following one family thru a scenario, probably not far from the truth...

That family was lacking firepower. I'm sure there situation would have been much better with a shotgun and/or a rifle.

Slightly Off Topic...Did anybody else watch Apocalypse Man last night?...also on the History Channel.

I don't want to cap too hard on the guy because he seemed like a nice guy and was a former Marine and POW but, I thought the actual show itself would probably have been more suited for an airing on Comedy Central.
If it wasn't so late at night...I would have made popcorn and had an entertaining chuckle through the whole show.

    I hope he's not a member here.

I hoped Apocalypse Man would be good, but it didn't teach me anything I didn't know... disappointing...

That's what I was kind of thinking too. It was entertaining.

Just got done watching it and I thought it was a very good show. It brought up many good theories and more importantly gave me many things to thing about and possibly ready for emergencies.

Is this show a drama? Action show? Movie? I missed it and I'm trying to decide whether or not to set the Tivo to pick it up next time it is on.
    Thanks,

Gonzo - It's kind of a "This is what might happen if the there was someone left alive during/after the Apocalypse/Armageddon". So all technical systems and the way of human life (as we know it) is shut down. It's interesting to say the least. :)

It will be on again (on The History Channel) on Sunday, January 10 at 12:00 AM EST.

The basis of this fictional story is a pandemic virus, which escalates into pandemonium.

It's a good story and very plausible.

The less prepared that people are, the more they will panic.

I too knew nothing if this show, but thanks to the OP, I was able to watch it. I liked it, gave me a lot to think about. There is a part where he tries to steal food, gets confronted and leaves guns behind, obviously he should have kept his original and picked up the second.

I watched it, and ahem, yes... purely for its minimal Saturday morning entertainment value as I ate my reheated pizza for breakfast.

    Sorry, Randy.
