    After Apocalypse friend list?

On the thread of armageddon/post apocalypse, do you have a list of people that you would get on the way to your bugout shelter?
Im not talking about family that your obligated to save, but people with skills or materials that will help in the aftermath of a disaster, examples like farmers, hunters, cooks, tradespeople or folks like the DC members who have ammo and the SA to help whack the Zombies?
It is pardonable to be defeated but never surprised.

Just some unfortunate exotic dancers. Most of them have such minimal clothing, How would they ever survive?

I would feed them to the zombies then find a gal that can chop firewood, milk the cows, churn butter and pluck some chickens

    No list.

However, anyone that has the skills to survive the first week might warrant taking a look at.

    People who:

    Can distill booze.
    Have medical training.
Who own the entire Harry Dresden Series, and have salvaged it.

    That's my list right now.

Ya but you need something to do to pass the time in the bunker. After that then you get the wood choppers

The only people I know actually that have useful skills are my family....
Most of my friends while good buddies are very unlikely to survive a TEOTWAWKI, my family on the other hand all have military and survival training and skills.
There is like two people I would try to if possible, but if not really easy then no.
I know not what this "overkill" means.

Honing the knives, Cleaning the longguns, Stocking up ammo.

    Ours is a short list:

    engineer/shooter/farmer- (me)
    cook/shooter/farmer- wife
    doctor- family friend
    nurse/cook- doctor's wife
    outdoorsman/hunter/Marine- lifelong friend
    mechanic/Marine- father
    cook- mother
    soldier/MP- daughter
    soldier- son-in-law

The last two would have to work hard to get here following SHTF, if they aren't already committed to duty!

The others are family (small family) have minimal skills in different areas. The majority have shooting skills of some sort. Shooting/ farming...etc... can also be taught to those with lesser skills.

Plan is for 15-20 people or less. Most have good common sense! While the logistics for a dozen or more people is FAR greater. The benefits are better. You get more variety of skills & more to put up an effective defense. (More watch standers!)

The plan is always evolving & progressing. Some of the things that I worry about are:

    -having more mouths than supplies
-being able to put up a good enough defense
-having the right 'barter items' (beans, bullets & equipment could be the new currency)
    -maintaining morale for long periods
-ability to get good information about outside conditions
    -fuel storage
    -electrical generation
    .........the list goes on........

My question to you is:DO YOU HAVE A PLAN!???

Yes, I've been talking to three friends who are avid shooters and are also preppers.

One of the wives is a nurse.

I have no medical training, but I'm taking a first aid/CPR class starting on Thursday night.

Next on my list is to learn to can vegetables. I have a mormon friend who wants me to teach him and his wife to shoot. In trade, they will teach me how to can.

After that, I have plans to get my amateur radio operator's license.

My family are ALL sheep and are scared of guns (with the exception of my son). They also have absolutely no skills. They will be in charge of chopping wood, cooking, washing and mending clothes, etc.

2010 will be my year to really get serious about preparation. It would make like so much easier if my family was on board. My brother-in-law makes over $500K per year, but he has absolutely no plan for when the Schumer hits the fan.

I will be taking several of the girls from Hooters because of exceptional ability to bring wings and beverages to me. During times of chaos being able to R&R are important if you plan on performing at peek levels.
