    Need info about Atlanta GA

I "may" be moving to the Atlanta area. I have a job interview next Friday, Jan 29th at a TV station in Atlanta. I will let you all know how it goes.

But, what I am looking for is info from any member in the Atlanta area about gun laws and such. School systems. Suburbs (we are looking mainly at Peachtree City) and anything else you can tell me. What are the good suburban communities to live in? What is ther to do in the Atlanta area? Anything you want to tell me.

    Thanks in advance,

    TN_Mike (maybe GA_Mike someday?)

Well, I'm nowhere near Atlanta but a good place to start looking up gun laws would be Welcome to GeorgiaPacking.org . That'll at least get ya goin......

MOST of Ga.'s gun and carry laws are covered between 16-11-120 thru 16-11-134.

Somehow, I just can't wrap my head around the notion of GA_Mike.

Seriously, good luck with whatever happens!

I know Falcon, it kind of knocks me sideways too. But I'll tell you this, if they offer me the job at the salary that I think they might, GA_Mike I will be!

I would really miss Tennessee though. I love this state.

Just looked at the GA page and Handgunlaw.us!

If I do get offered and take the job in Atlanta, I have to say we will be taking what looks like a huge step backwards in gun rights if we move from Tennessee to Georgia.

Good heavens, the GA permit isn't honored in nearly as many states as the TN and some of the places you aren't allowed to carry in GA just baffle me. You can't carry in church? Or any even held by a church?

Not sure I really want to go to GA now......but I am still getting ahead of myself. Just wait and see how the job interview goes.

the big problem with atlanta is the cost of living. your cost of living in west tn is lower than what you will see in atlanta. most live outside the beltway. the only place to find a safe and clean place. but the drive in to down town is hard, even on a good day. down in peachtree city you got a good drive to downtown, that is if you going to work there. but if you are from the memphis area you know of some of the same problems. send me a pm and we can talk.
