    The Mighty Mo!

I brought up a thread some time back that I started up an old hobby of model building. Well I finished the first one... The USS Missouri.

It was pretty tough, there were a lot of detailed parts. The glue and paint were too messy for most of the parts... but I managed. Please critique away!

Looks good to me. My first public speech was on the Mighty MO.

Is it armed and ready to fire? Looking forward to a range report... Looks good, you've got more patience that I do.

Looks good. The modern version of the Mighty Mo.

I don't think they had the harpoon missile launchers during War 2. : )

The only critical obsevation I can make is that the Jack staff on the bow of the ship is backwards. The flag shoud stream aft (like the National Ensign on the fantail).

    The paint job looks great!

I built the WW2 version of it when I was about 12, about the same size. I had it for years sitting on a shelf and then one day we put it out on our pond and sunk it with M-80's.
I would rather stand against the cannons of the wicked than against the prayers of the righteous.

I added a few more photos at the end that are "pre-commission" photos. They are a little sloppier before the paint touch ups before I was done. They show the Tomahawk missile systems and the 30mm anti air guns that were added and I didn't seem to show in the finished product.

Hey thanks for the observation. Every little bit helps... I'll eventually get it At any rate i'm not catching you here, are you are saying the flags are on the wrong ends? Or that the aft flag is facing the wrong direction?

I think he is saying that the other flag (fore, bow) is facing in the wrong direction. Both the flags need to point to the aft, as if the ship is moving forwards and the flags are streaming naturally in the breeze. You seem to have them streaming in opposite directions which is nigh impossible, except in staged moon landing photographs.

That looks like great fun, BTW.
