    Steve McQueen's "illegitimate" son

Fred Spiker, born in 1957, claims to be Steve McQueen's illegitimate son. McQueen had no part in recognizing or raising his son. The mother's name is not mentioned. However, biographies now claim that Spiker, indeed, was from McQueen's lineage. In fact, Spiker changed his name to "McQueen" late into his adulthood.

Sooo, what are the chances this guy is just a con man?

DNA would really be what is needed to verify if he is indeed the son of Steve McQueen. Wonder if he has any plans to do so?

Yikes! Looks like him. What does he want? I agree that DNA testing is the only way if "blood family" can be located on Steve's side.

Then his "father" was merely a sperm donor, if that.

We care about this ... why?

I heard Brad and Jen are getting back together, but that Angie's falling apart. The point being, Spiker is going to have to work really hard to get any "air" play, as brief as the attention span of the wad seems to be, these days. You've gotta wonder what the point is. He must have a fairly unhappy, dull little life.

We don't need no stinkin' DNA test!

Just stick him behind the wheel of a 68 Mustang, give him a map of San Francisco, and we'll see if he has the right stuff.

Best as I can tell, he never asked for any money. He's very popular as an actor in Japan but only been acting since 2003.

I think it's a "so ? " kind of deal. Sounds like maybe he's wanting to cash in on Steve McQueens career, inheritance, movie rights, etc.
