Good for her. If I were there, she'd get a high-five from me.

I think the passenger watched too many Karate Kid movies and met reality on the plane.

I loved the news flick; aside from the fool getting what he deserved.

For one thing they showed pretty much how I train, and it is certainly how I was taught to apply a choke for real.

Interestingly , she was identified as a black belt in Taekwando. The little bit in the news flick looked exactly like how I train in Krav. Well, I've often been told that in the end the arts "are all the same."

What they didn't describe well enough is how she maneuvered to get that choke on him. I don't see how she got to the back of him---even after jumping up on a seat. I'd love to see that re-enacted in full to see how she actually pulled it off. This was on an airplane for heaven's sake. The aisles are tiny. I wonder if she spun him around when parrying the elbow he threw? Again, I just can't quite picture in my mind how she accomplished this.

They said (she said?) that after he threw an elbow she applied an arm lock and tried to get his other arm before applying the choke. Again, I would love to see a re-enactment. I can't quite picture what she did in my mind.

    Awesome.

America needs more moms, wives and daughters like her.

A very cool lady, she gets a high five from me too. If I were on that plain she would have been getting a steak dinner for her and her hubby for not being a sheep.

She's a single mom of three - I'd've taken her AND THE KIDS out for that steak dinner, though.
