    Help spread the word!

This has been happening in my Missouri county for the past week. Last Saturday, our Sheriff, with assistance from several local PD's, found 14 illegal aliens working at a construction site. They arrested all of them.

As per instructions, INS was notified, and their reply was: LET THEM GO!

Sheriff was only able to detain 1 out of the 14 due to a warrant against him.
    Sheriff is ticked off.
    Congresswoman is ticked off.
    Whole county is ticked off!

I don't think the word is getting out about what is happening to us.

    Local paper links are here:

Please call your local newspapers or TV stations with this. help spread the word of what a shoddy job the INS has done with this.

    It's not ICE's fault.

Napolitano has ordered "no more work site raids".

I guess she wants the agency to be more friendly to their future voters after they pass amnesty for illegals.

    absolutely right
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
    1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man

Why have laws if you are not going to enforce them.

patti, I have the highest respect for the ICE team and Sheriff Bullock (I've called him my "token Democrat"). He's the most pro-2A Sheriff I know of.

It's the gonzo's that say "Let them go!" that gets me.

Ok, so 13 of the 14 illegal aliens were released. Spilled milk and all that.

    BUT...

Did the Sheriff arrest the business owner? If not, why not? The business owner broke the law and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible.

The Government will be trying to get rid of the Sheriff soon. Too many waves. We keep clouding the issue with facts.

I agree with you, but it is not always that cut and dried. It very likely could have been a subcontractor and not the contractor or it might have been both working together. Often, the illegals will provide proper ID, but is it fake or stolen and our government does not give much help to business owners to verify credentials.

This is not the problem of the Sheriff. To the Sheriff there is only "broke the law" or "didn't break the law."

The Sheriff arrests and the DA prosecutes where warranted. Judgment calls are the responsibility of the JURY.

Remember the law says that the potential employee has to provide VERIFIABLE PROOF of the right to work in the USA. The fact that the employer didn't check because they presented him with documents is no excuse. How far the employer has to dig depends on the specific circumstance but he is REQUIRED to dig at least a bit. He can't just have a "shovel" in the corner of his office either and rely on the gov to reassure him if there is ANY hint of something not right.
