In effect, I have been robbed by [non-millionaire] bank-employee financial advisors/planners who cost and lost me several thousand dollars; perfectly legal and all my fault of course. The same goes for the Nelson Financial Group that bled me for a dozen years [aka "long term"]; they and Reliastar Life Insurance Company making about $12,000 each and apiece to my $6,000. None of them called me and told me to bail and cash out before the 2007 crash. They had fun and didn't even use a gun! Still, I guess that "multiple assailants" could and would apply without a lie.

I was involved in a disgruntled employee situation while working in a warehouse. This guy got fired and came back pointing his shiney, Taurus knock off of a Sig, at everyone and making verbal threats. This was preCC in Mo. Nobody was armed. He left with no shots fired. So needless to say, as soon as Mo passed the CC laws, I was in line. I hope to never be in that position again, but I will not he helpless, just in case.

BTW, once he was caught, 3mos later. He got nothing! The prosecutor wouldn't push, because he couldn't prove the gun was loaded. Are you kidding? Aren't ALL guns supposed to be loaded?

I bet if the gun had been pointed at him, that prosecutor wouldn't have asked if it was loaded or not...

I've had my apartment robbed while I was gone. I didn't have much back then, so what they took was meaningless, crummy $30.00 stereo set and some crap tapes.

Since my first step into the Military, I started in the Martial Arts so I thought I was a bad arse and let my mouth override my butt sometimes and then had to back it up. I was assaulted physically several times, 2 of those times, I actually did nothing wrong other then come out of the gym at the wrong time of night and it was the "so you think because you take the MAs your bad" talk. I'm glad I survived those younger days.

I've been assaulted by a guy who hated Animal Control and pointed a Shotgun at me about 4 years ago for doing my job and it wasn't even his address or his dog, he just hated us. Being stupid back then and I got mad and went towards him, lucky for me the neighbor called the cops and they came around the corner and the chicken chit ran inside his house. You know when your pissed off and hear that shotgun being racked, one of two things, it can piss you off more or scare the crap out of you. That night, it just made me mad that he would pull a weapon on me.

After thinking about it, I sure was stupid back then. But if I could have gotten to him and that gun

I was robbed at gunpoint while working as a cashier at Walgreens. I did exactly as I was trained and handed over all the money. This incident is the reason I carry.

The same guy went on to rob 8 or so other stores and was eventually caught. I got to testify against him in court and help in putting him behind bars for a very very long time. To this day I can remember exactly what he looked like, how big the gun appeared being shoved in my face, and how terrified I was that I could die at any second. I know that in this situation it would have done me absolutely no good to be carrying. He slipped into the store while we were busy and hung out till there was a lull in the foot traffic. I never even saw him come up to the counter, I had looked down to grab my pop, the next thing I knew I had what appeared to be a rocket launcher in my face. Not a fun day. I did however end up with a nice sum of workers comp, which bought me my first pistol.

Do I get to vote twice? We were burgeled twice within a year. Sheriffs said it would happen. Bad guys wait until you replace what the stolen the first time and come back and get the new stuff. (Yes, there was a monitored security system, but I beat the sheriffs back to my house both times after being notified from where I worked 20 miles away).

No major crime victim here so I voted other, however....

Had car window smashed out. Thieves took a new coat and my 8-tracks (yes, it's been that long ago) from my '69 Dodge Charger that I parked in a stupid spot, and rode with someone to a concert. Nearly caught them in the act, we pulled up just as they were leaving and I didn't know what had happend.

The other two times I inadvertently left car doors unlocked and theives relieved me of cassete tapes and some Karate equipment.

I hope I never have to be a victim of an assault, armed robbery, break-in or any of that stuff.

By the way, Reyno2ac, I had to go to our new local one last night to get the wife some allergy medicine. Got that "tingly" feeling something wasn't cool and packed my Rossi .38 IWB underneath my sweatshirt before I went. Glad I did, the place had a bunch of unsavory characters wandering around inside and out. Didn't have problems, but still, I had the sense I needed to be armed.

I have wondered how many have waited to carry until after they have been victimized by a criminal.
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
    1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man

I wasn't even 21 till 4/15/2008, I got a gun a couple months later but took some time to decide if I really wanted to carry. I just got my CPL in the mail a couple weeks ago.

Last December bout a week befor Christmas I was in the Safeway parking lot when a guy comes out from between 2 cars with a knife in his hand and says "gimme yo wallet" I push my wife back with my left and act like I'm reaching for my wallet, then out comes the G27, homie ran away with his pants around his knees and I was laughing so hard I couldn't shoot even if I tried. I still have the knife, if your out there you can have it back, anytime!

    Well, let me see.

I've had my life threated on several occasions, but 3 of them were very serious.

On another occasion, a guy murdered my five beautiful horses.

And on another occasion, a guy torched my shop. The fire did quite a bit of damage and caught 3 trucks on fire. But, it could have been worse.

    That about does it.

Edit: Somebody stole my two snow shovels the other day and if I catch the dirt-bag, I'd like to give him a piece of my mind!

A theft like that really hits me right there - being winter and all in Missouri.

Occupied home, 2 assailants, armed, pulled my firearm and resisted. No one hurt, one arrested.
