I have four pairs of Lucchese Classics. Love them. Don't do a lot of walking on cement in them, but I do walk on cement and clunk doesn't bother me. I wouldn't put rubber soles on my Lucchese Classics.

It is the heel, not the sole, that makes that powershoe sound.

My wife and daughter both wear the Ariats and love them. The pair I looked at was lined with cloth, not leather. I will have to take another look at Ariat. But if they are still lined with cloth that is a show stopper. For me the cloth liner boots wear and roll up, causing pain.

That depends on the style and model, as well as the footbed. I have the same consideration.

LOL! Some of you guys watch way to many old westerns! I wear cowboy boots everyday of my life. The way you walk makes a difference and if that doesn't work get crepe soles, (the rubber ones) I personally don't like them but to each his own. What's with all the spurs comments I have two pairs of boots the spurs never come off. When I was in college and had class after work the spurs stayed on. But I also went to a college that has been #1 in rodeo for years. Saddle bronc capitol of the world.

who give a flip about what other people think. They can spend their whole paycheck on stupid lookin shoes that last as long as the "fad" they where bought for. You on the otherhand can enjoy your boots until they wear out.

If they laugh at you then laugh back. screw them and their doc martins they rode in on

I have Tony Lama Elephant, full quill Ostrich, Shrunken Bull, Lizard, and one other old pair that is so rare (with regard to the leather) that I won't even mention it.

It's highly TABOO leather these days.

I sold my snakeskin boots a few years ago on Ebay.

Been wanting to get snake skins again (girlfriend hates snakes and dosnt want to even have boots in the house) so will be buying a new pair of motorcycles boots. Does anyone have a girlfriend/wife who hates a specific boot that its not allowed in the house?
