This is so cool.
They are awesome to watch!

I've never seen them in person, but I'd sure love to!

When I was a kid (50+ years ago) we lived just across the bayou from their home base, NAS Pensacola Florida. They always put on the last show of the year at Pensacola. We could walk half a block and have a ring side seat to watch the show. We also had the bonius of their practice sessions durning the winter. One time the Air Force Thunderbirds were in the area also. They all got in a compition to see who could do the best stunts. Let me tell you, that was quite a show and it was all unplanned and unsceduale.
They were as impressive then as they are now.
The "news media" has ceased being the watch dog of the people and has become the apologist for an irresponsible government.
I too saw them, but it was way back in the 1960's when they came to our area. Needless to say they were awesome. There have been some shows on the History Channel about them and other countries flying teams like the Canadian Snowbirds.
However, the Blue Angels still rock in my opinion!

My dad was stationed at Nellis AFB Nevada, home of the Thunderbirds from 1966 to 1969,saw them fly a lot, also saw the Blue Angels perform at an Air Show when I was in the Air Force. We have the best trained pilots in the world bar none

I'm lucky to live in a place where they perform every year!!! These guys are incredible.
They did 2 shows at the Naval Air Station that I was stationed at. Once when they had the A-4's and then right after they transitioned to the F-18's. The best was watching them practice days before the weekend shows when the base was opened up for the public. Work on the flight line would come to a halt as everyone would just sit down and watch.

They send shivers down my spine. I love the Blue Angels, such skill. I try to make it every time they are in town.
I used to see them a while ago. I need to find where they are flying in my are this summer as I would love for my boys to see them. Got to watch the above video on my new 24 inch monitor. Funnnnn...

I see them all summer long...especially when working on the high rise condos at the beach(es). It's really something when you have to look down to see them! lol
The air show 3 times a day was a great attraction.
First 5 F16 Eagles would shoot by in formation, Do some stuff at low altitude and then shoot up and away.
Then a giant C5 Galaxy would lumber overhead at about 250 ft. It cast a huge shaddow.
That thing is bigger than a 747.
Next you would hear the roar of 3 harrier attack aircraft come in and hover over the river. The noise was loud but terriffic. Then from a hover, they shoot strait up into the clouds.
Then an Apache Longbow chopper would appear and do stunts you would not think possible.
The blue angles and others have appeared at the air show but nothing compares to the real deal.
The display of planes built right here in St. Louis was a jaw dropping spectacle to watch.
Now it is not the same with Boeing and In Bev in charge.

Here is a PDF of their 2010 and 2011 show schedule and practice schedule. It truly is an amazing sight to see in person. The videos don't do them justice.
