Sorry - an offence is an offence.
Geez what message does this send to short people?! Survival in prison is something criminals should consider before commiting their crimes - ''do the crime - do the time''. Works for me.

So just casterate him then let him go, that would be justice, that is if you let the kid's dad do the job, or they would just do like my daughter does to her goats.. it's called a really tight rubberband, guess where.

That's your goverment protecting you !! They take your guns away so that you don't hurt the criminals that the goverment does not want to house and feed.

So I guess this means that anyone who is short of stature can get away with just about anything...Wrong, wrong, wrong

Good grief! Do they impeach or recall judges in Nebraska? Someone needs to start the process based upon some pretty crummy logic applied to this.
"Too short" he says...What about too tall? Maybe the beds aren't comfortable enough for them if they are too tall... arrgh!

I think I have now heard it all. Looks like some judges need tossing as well as politicians...

just plain stupid. The criminal took his chances committing the crime, send him to prison.

Put him on a "rack" and stretch him out so that he'll be taller, then send him to prison for life (i.e. for however long he survives)!

What!!!!!!! now short people will be running wild. The threat of going to prison is what keeps people from committing crimes. Until now. This country has gone so soft it is unreal.

If I didn't read it for myself...I would not have believed it.
I would say the judge is a little short on common sense and brains.

Unbelievable, so when the girls father blows him away, he should only get probation for killing him.
