Looks fun, and cold.

I was at the range today sighting my Savage 12 FV .204 and had my friend along with his Savage 12 LRPV 6mm Norma BR. I haven't bought loading dies yet so I had to use factory 32 grain Hornady which was actually pretty consistent through the chronograph. I expect good things from the .204 from the groupings with factory ammo. I can't wait to see what she'll do with quality handloads.
On the other hand, the Savage 12 LRPV in 6mm Norma BR almost defies description. It is as close to a flawless production rifle as I have ever fired. Furry 5-holes are the rule, not the exception. Loaded with 69 grain High BC flat base Berger Bullets with 30 grains of IMR H322 and the shots disappeared into the same hole over and over again.
All in all, a great day at the range.
Looks like you had a lot of fun!
I have never shot on a range with that nice looking snow.

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness,
nor the arrow for its swiftness,
nor the warrior for his glory.
I love only that which they defend.
Nice pillow in the second picture there.... :)
Looks like a fun day though.
I have heard good things about the 6mm Lapua. I guess there are some really long range competitions that it is supposed to really well at.
My dad uses Berger bullets with his 7mm08 and he has hit targets at 700+ yards.
