Deleted avatar?

My animated avaitar has been removed and I am wondering why, it is to requirements nor offensive and is my orignal work.
I try to upload the file and states that I cannot up load animated images, why is this ?

I believe animated avatars take too much room, so Bumper decided no one would have em. Will check for you.

It is probably because Bumper has elected to limit animated stuff - some of which can be distractive when large. I suggest for now you take one frame of the GIF and use that.

He will probably respond to you himself when next in - tho he is somewhat outa town over much of this week.

Bumper was not aware it had been removed or why, and suggested I post it here to see if anyone else knew why ?

P95Carry as far as file size and taking up to much room it is under the size limit for aviatars.
And just taking one frame would not convey the image so I would do with out one, until I design a new one.

I wanted to upload an animated avatar to when I joined a couple of days ago. But it wouldn't let me... I thought that they weren't allowed.

Did an update to the bulletin software change the status on you??

I don't see a setting that either allows or disallows animated graphics. It goes by height/width in pixels and by overall size in bytes. If I remember correctly, we had decided at one time that animated graphics were distracting and should be disallowed but we have enforced that rule only when ther avatar is distracting to members.

I asked Pac4Life to post the problem here because I thought it might have been deleted for some reason while I was gone. It doesn't sound like that is the case. Wendywc may be correct about the upgrade we recently completed but I'm not sure. I would suggest uploading an avatar graphic that is not animated until I get the time to check into it further.....

The animation is a springfiled xd sub compat, that is my story and I am sticking with it

I don't see any problem with your Avatar. It's neat. I don't think it's distracting. Not any more distracting than that damn dancing banana.

I checked to see if we are able now to upload a animated gif image with in the requirements and still received "You may not upload animated images"
Apparently some setting is not allowing us to upload animated images?
I am wondering if this is being looked into or no animated images allowed?

Yes there is a chance to get one animated, although I do not know if you will be able to use it here until Bumper makes that choice.
