Thanks, Bumper. Great idea.
A worthy tribute and a much better place for the designated posts than "Off topic and humor".
I appreciate the thought and am sure it will be much used.
Thanks again.

I am one of those who has a particular pleasure in seeing this appear - it keeps Bob's name up front and hopefully will for a long time yet.
I hope it will be carefully used and respected by all posting in it.

Great memorial for an obviously Great Man.
Fear No Evil.
A tremendous idea and a fitting tribute to Bob's memory.
Thanks, Bumper.

I'm glad we finally got it up. No ones fault, it just took longer than expected. Thanks, Bumper, for your continued leadership. I agree that the first thread chosen was perfect.![]()

Although the Moderators and I had been talking about just exactly what we were going to do to honor Bob and talked about making a forum like "Bob Ford's Place", I have to give credit to Baby Hulk for finally getting me off my duff to actually put it together. It's easy to add a new forum in vBulletin, it takes a while to let ideas bloom completely, word the forum description properly so members don't "misuse" the forum, etc. Baby Hulk sending me a PM about his idea helped motivate me that I had waited long enough.
That being said, I will ask you all to read the forum description, which is pretty explanatory, and think about what you are posting there. If something "off topic" is added there, it will be promptly moved. Enjoy it, I think Bob would approve.....![]()

How I wish Bob could see it - he would be so pleased - I know that for a fact and can just imagine chatting to him on the phone.

Having discovered that the thread about my ongoing battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma had been moved to 'Bob Ford's Place', I feel extremely honored to be able to share with others there.
Never knew Bob, but I did follow his posts and knew that he was a man whose opinions and comments were respected by so many here on the board.
Thanks for creating the new forum, and for allowing me to be a part of it.
You're welcome, Dave. Now get well....Originally Posted by DaveT

Glad to see Bob has a permanent place of honor here, it's a fitting tribute to one of our own who gave so much of himself.
