no [size] tags allowed in signatures?

Just a bit of a pet peeve, I just changed/expanded my sig and didn't want it to take up too much space, so I added the [size=1] tag to it. Unfortunately you have the size tag disabled in sigs, so I can't use a smaller font so as to have my sig take up less space. I understand that the disabling of this tag is to prevent people from using huge text (anything bigger than =2), but enabling it would allow some of us to make our sigs smaller and less intrusive. Thanks for reading my peeve.

Point taken - but yes it is to avoid folks going to size 7!!!

I agree tho if size=1 was available on its own it would be real useful - not sure tho we can be that specific.

You have my vote here for a mandatory size=1 for sigs.

Unfortunately, vBulletin let's you either turn them on or turn them off, and not just in the signature line. I left it off to keep people from changing the font size up in posts (and sig lines), changing colors, etc.

Actually, I was completely wrong on this one. After checking it vBulletin allows the size tag to be used separately and allows the size to be limited as well. Sooo, your wish has been granted. Enjoy....

No, normally the quotes don't have to be there, but I tried them anyway because that's how the vbulletin example uses it. doesn't work either way...

Let me look at this some more, I think the setting will only apply to signature lines, not in posts and such. I may have an opposing switch set somewhere.....

This is something that I am going to have to put on my list to resolve in the near future. I am buried beneath a growing task list for this weekend.....
