I'd be interested in knowing the answer to that question myself.

Boy, you guys don't miss anything....

I was up late last night working out forum permissions for our new administrators and created the "Contributing Members" category for those members that donate to the forum when implemented. That, hopefully, will be operational by tomorrow evening sometime; I just have to work out a few details yet....

When you say Donate, do you mean monetarily? This could be a very good thing.....

Yup, monetarily. I will accept no unruly children or ex-wives....

After staff and I discussed this quite a bit, donations seemed like the best and least obtrusive way to get the forum moved to a dedicated server, which is what's needed. It is a fairly radical departure from what I had planned for the forum over two years ago when it was started. I never thought we would grow so large that we would require a dedicated server. But we have and things have pretty much slowed to a crawl.

Donations will be completely voluntary and you will never see us actively soliciting donations. It will be very low key, with a single link where members can donate what they feel they can afford and is appropriate. I'll post more when I can get the payment side up tomorrow.

Excellent move there! I know you resisted this mightily too, but given constraints and growth, it makes sense. You've excluded unruly children and ex's, but how about kittens or puppies..........

Well, if you don't want my ex-wife, what am I supposed to do with her?

Great, I suppose now you're going to tell me that you won't accept empty promises or broken dreams either.

That'll be easy John - you just donate twice - LOL!

    How do we?
All will become clear once Bumper has gotten things set up.... in near future probably.

I hate it when I see the dreaded "The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later."
