Downtime today
We will be going offline for 60-90 minutes in an hour or so to move from this server to a new dedicated server that I will have administrative access to. This should enable me to fix the picture posting and email problems we have been experiencing since our emergency move a week ago. This server is another interim step toward our permanent server home, beause our server is on backorder by the supplier. The final move will obly be a drive swap which should take about half an hour sometime next week. Mark of Tranquil Hosting will be making these moves for us.
The server we are moving to today will be the basic server platform we will be on when all is done except the processor is a single core rather than the dual core we have ordered.
Thanks for your patience! Consider this your donation dollars at work....

Bumper, thanx PLEASE don't make it too long. I don't have the grandtwins
with me today. I need them to play with or I will start shaking if I can't read something here. I may turn back to drugs or crime if it takes too long. Please hurry!!!!!!!!!!!
Just joking, do what ya need to do. Thanx for everything. It is worth the downtime to get this a PRIMO place to go to.

Yeah, back up,
I missed this message earlier, and thought maybe I had finally upset someone, and gotten kicked off.
Glad to see it is working great now.
Thanks again Bumper for all the work you put into this.
Oh yeah, can't forget the mods, and now administrators.
Thanks to all.
edit to add: this is wierd, I posted after PAX, and it dropped me in the middle.

good news , hope the migration goes well since i happen to know there is no such thing as a simple drive move lol .
Make sure you get full value out of today , Do something worthwhile, because what you do today will cost you one day off the rest of your life .

Thanks, all of you for your patience. The forum is back up, on a new dedicated server. It's not our permanent one yet (ours has a dual core CPU) but I now have complete control over the server. Hopefully that will allow me to clean up the problems we have had since moving so suddenly. Let me know if you notice anything new that has cropped up. I will be looking at the gallery and email problems this afternoon.
Enjoy the forum!

I certainly feel much better having more control than the vBulletin administration control panel allows. Some problems just cannot be resolved from there. I'm a happy guy....

Bumper, thanks. Things are working well and some of the problems seem to be disappearing.

We just had a minor issue with DNS through the firewall causing us to be "ubavailable" for a bit. Mark poked a hole through the firewall for us. Hopefully that's the last of the downtime for awhile. Thanks for your patience....
